Job Opening: Vice President of Research and Development

Position Overview

Establishes the overall objectives and initiatives of a research and development team for microfluidic pumps, controllers and related instruments. Develops ideas for new products and product enhancements. Understands and has experience in bringing new products to market. Able to assess funding requirements and provide effective management of development budgets. Leads funding proposal development and accompanying research. Demonstrates expertise in a variety concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a wide variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to President/CEO.

Position Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a microfluidics related field
• Self-motivated person with outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Minimum 10+ years working experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understands business drivers in microfluidic pump and associated markets
• Able to identify and assess market opportunities and create strategies to address those opportunities
